I can't keep up with it. I get far too many emails a week wanting awards that I just cannot get back to them in time. And those of you who have applied and still haven't received a reply know this. And i apologize. I'm working full time during the summer, i'm starting summer classes next week, and i'm trying to spend time with my family and friends. I just cannot do it. I've been getting like two a day, and that's a lot of sites to observe and judge.

I can't take the bad sites anymore. Now before you become insulted, hear me out. I get a lot of good sites that apply. Sites with good content, design, and intelligence. But i get an equal, if not higher, amount of bad ones. Sites thrown together in 30 minutes, littered with borrowed graphics and no originality, littered with the same dub stats that I've now memorized because i've seen them so many times, and the same pictures in the picture galleries. I cannot bear to look at half these sites anymore, let alone give them an award. These are sites whose owners are so moronic that they can't take constructive criticism and all they want are more hits and entries in their guestbooks. I'm sorry, but there are too many bad sites in the SMOC, and it seems most of them love to apply for awards.

I have newer and better things coming. I have a new plan, for a new section of this site. I will in the near future have a review site, a site in which I will let people email me requesting a review. I will decide if i want to do so, and after reviewing that site with my honest opinions, i will decide whether the site is worthy of an award. So in a way, awards will be back up, just in a newer fashion.

For those of you who have emailed applications to me and have not gotten a reply, I am sorry, but I won't be giving you an award. I haven't even looked at your sites. You will recieve an automated message in the mail about it all. I apologize for the inconvenience. And if i receive any further applications, they will be deleted without even a notice, becuase it's obvious you should have come here and read this.
